Hi, I’m Ben Boogaardt.

Entrepreneur and digital business adviser based in Assen, the Netherlands.

I’ve been running businesses since I was sixteen. In 2009, I founded Web and Brand. Over the years, I’ve worked with more than 500 organisations across the north-east of the Netherlands and beyond.

I help clients identify business opportunities and work out what they want to achieve. My role spans the whole process: starting conversations, building relationships, developing proposals and delivering the right digital solution. I combine experience in business development, client advice and shaping new offerings with the technical skills to put those ideas into practice.

My hands-on experience spans web development, e-commerce, APIs, systems integration and system architecture. From 2014 to 2023, I led a team of two employees, a student completing their final-year project and three project-based freelancers. I enjoy taking the initiative and working with others to bring an idea to life.

AI is part of my day-to-day work. I use it to explore ideas, organise information, spot patterns, work through datasets and keep my work organised. I also build practical AI applications for clients and for my own use. Using AI as a tool and developing AI-powered software are two separate sides of my work.
